Happy Chinese New Year

My Chinese New Year started off with the rain pouring this morning! It was raining so heavily that it made the atmosphere very chilly. It was damn cold and we thought that it was impossible to go out because it looked like there was a blizzard outside (haha, not exactly, just exaggerating. :P).

But, it finally stopped and we went visiting and collecting angpaos! :)

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! :D
May you have a prosperous year ahead! :D

Today is also U6K's very own bubbly Hsien's birthday! Double celebration for her this year! I keep thinking she's turning 18 because I keep forgetting that I'm turning 20 this year. -_-

Happy 19th Birthday Hsien! :D

That's Hsien with Hannah's dog, Poe. :D Dear Hsien, I don't know when are you going to read this. But, I hope you had a great birthday! Collecting angpaos and presents must be really awesome! :D

Jetting Off

CNY means balik kampung! Unless you live in your hometown. O_o

I'll be leaving in approximately five hours time to LCCT, because my flight to Sandakan, Sabah is at 7 a.m. Yes, yet another annual CNY family trip to my parents' hometown in Sandakan.

Everything is pretty hectic now because we're still packing! I just finished! :/ Pretty last minute eh? :P But, we'll manage. I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight. I don't wanna sleep for three hours only and end up being cranky when I wake up. Not a very suitable mood to be welcomed by my relatives when I touch down. :P

I learnt how to bake chocolate chip cookies (my favourite) and butter cake at nanny's! ;D No pictures, unfortunately. Haven't tried the butter cake but the chocolate chip cookies rock (ahem)! I'm not saying this just to flatter myself, but it's because Josh (nanny's grandson who is only seven years old) kept asking for more and he even complimented on how tasty they were! :P

Anyways, to those heading back to their hometowns, have a safe journey! To those spending CNY in KL, have fun hitting the less-crowded-than-usual-shopping-malls! :D And have fun collecting ang paos! :D

My MUET Results

Last Thursday, our MUET results were out! I was waiting anxiously for the clock to strike 12:01 a.m. to send in my sms.

I sent seven messages because I was impatient (OMG, RM 2.10 gone!) and I got this in return after every message sent:

RM 0.30 Keputusan MUET melalui SMS akan diaktifkan mulai 15/01/09, 12:01 a.m. Sila taipMUET [MYKAD No.] hantar ke 39003.

I looked at my clock, it was way way way past 12:01 a.m. -____-

Robson told me he couldn't get through too. So, I just gave up and figured that I'll just check it online in the morning.

After about an hour, Weixing told me he got through although he didn't sit for MUET.

And I finally got the reply I wanted! I had a Band 5. I can't really say I'm upset or anything (which I did feel for awhile) because that was what I hoped for (at least) and I expected it anyway since I am no where near potential people who would score Band 6 like Zhi Wang, Ha Nnah and Alairic. So, I'm contented. :)

Janice and I went to school last Friday to take our slips but because she was stuck in traffic, she was late (duh). And because she was late, we missed the clerk who was holding all the slips. She went out. -_-

I finally got the slip today! Judging from my marks for each component, I screwed up my speaking and reading component. Bleh, and the speaking test was the one I was most nervous and afraid of. I don't know what happened to my reading component though, made many careless mistakes I guess, because I am very capable of doing that. Lol.

Sadly, no Band 6 this year. I wonder what went wrong..

Congrats to everyone else who did well and are satisfied with their results! To the rest, it's not the end of the world! :)

Let bygones be bygones.

Babyblue No More!

I've finally switched to gmail (wenchean@gmail.com)! :D Hence, the title.

I've been longing to do this ever since I was done with SPM but I never really brought myself to do it. I finally took some time to do switch everything to gmail which includes adding 300 people in MSN. I added and added until I had the tendency to type like this (e.g. cheanrocks@blogspot.com) when I wanted to access any websites.

Amidst all that, I got caught up with people asking me why I switched. Haha. My answer was "More professional mah" Imagine filling up babyblue_2108@hotmail.com in your uni applications, resume or any other formal forms in the future! How embarrassing! Can't blame me, I was only 14 when I created that account. Hahaha. :P

Anyways, will blog about my MUET result when I actually get the slip. Blame Janice for the delay! Hahaha.

Btw, visit Abigail's e-boutique! Click here! Proud to be her first customer! :D

Oh how I "love"..

..education fairs!

They make me depressed at times, hyped up at times, confident at times, confused at times and hopeful at times.

I went for The Star Education Fair 2009 last weekend on both days and it was massive! Much bigger than the previous one that I went to - Facon Education Fair.

I have three options in mind on what to study and there are many opportunities available. But, the thing that I'm afraid most is, whether my STPM grades would be able to meet the entry requirement or not.

If it doesn't, I'm doomed. So, let's pray it does! Thinking about my results sends shivers down my spine. I can't imagine or predict what the outcome would be. It's scary thinking about it.

MUET RESULTS WILL BE OUT THIS THURSDAY! OMG!
And I dreamt last night that I would get a band 4! *gasp*

Type [MUET][your I/C number] and send it to 39003. You can do so on the 15th of January 2009 starting from 12:01 a.m.

OR

Check online through http://www.mpm.edu.my/ on the 15th of January 2009 from 8:30 a.m.

Good luck guys! :)

P/S: This is my 100th post! Actually, I don't see why people get excited because of the 100th post. Lol. Imma join them as well and be excited! xD

Sleep

From lacking of sleep to having too much of sleep.

I think I've been sleeping too much lately until the extent that all I want to do is SLEEP. And that's bad yo. :/

Let me tell you my daily routine if I don't have plans, that is.

I wake up like 6.30 in the morning eventhough I don't go to school anymore. Yeah, 6.30 a.m., just to send my sis to school and drop my mom off at a monorail station. Hah!

I take like 25 minutes to finish all that and reach home. Then, I SLEEP!

Sleep until.. 1.45 p.m? That's the time school ended for me last year! Omg, half of the day wasted. -_-

And you know what's worse? I set my alarm at an earlier time and hit the snooze button (or sometimes set another time) all the way to 1-ish. Zomg, this is not good.

I tried sleeping earlier at night but I still wake up the same time. -_-

Hopefully, I'll get my normal sleeping hours back!

Jojo Lee

Jojo Lee's masterpiece. Damn semangat, wth! He was bored, hence, the drawing. Hahaha. I assume he got lazy halfway through drawing block letters. :P

So..

everyone is starting school/college/uni tomorrow!

Stone and rot at home, so lifeless can!

A part of me wishes that I was the one going back to school. Everyone is going to be busy after this.

Anyways, have fun studying you guys! :D

Unbearable

MY GUMS ARE HURTING LIKE MAD.

I THINK MY WISDOM TOOTH IS GROWING! IT'S DAMN PAINFUL CAN DIE!

I CAN'T SLEEP BECAUSE OF THE PAIN.

I NEED TO SEE THE DENTIST, BUT IT'S SUNDAY, WHICH DENTIST WILL BE OPEN?!

DIE DIE DIE.

ANOTHER SLEEPLESS NIGHT?

I'VE TRIED ICE AND SALT WATER.

THE PAIN GOES OFF FOR AWHILE, THEN IT COMES BACK.

Oh God, take away the pain please! I need my sleep. :(

P/S: I just realized my new blog skin (the grey one) doesn't show the title for each of my posts. Wth? So, Imma use this white one now!

Langkawi Day Four

22nd December 2008

The day we all depart. :(

Earlier in the morning..

*Janice's phone alarm rings for about a minute (it was a very annoying song/music/sound or more like noise)*

Chean: *whacks Janice* GO GET YOUR PHONEEE.
Janice: *turns the other side and continues sleeping*
Lavonne: HOII, later you'll miss your ferry lah!

She immediately got up! Haha, and we got the whole bed to ourselves. :P

Rita drove us to the jetty. It was a pretty scary ride, not the shrieking/screaming kinda scary but the eye-popping-out kinda scary. But, we reached safely! :)

The last picture before Janice and Rita left. :(

After that, Lavonne, May Jean and I had brunch at some dead and empty shopping mall. Nothing much there, so we left early. Got back to our room and crashed! Had a good nap before our flight to KL. :)

That sums up the whole awesome trip! :D It was pretty saddening that all of this had to happen so fast. Four days gone just like that. Oh well, we'll go for another trip! :)

Langkawi Day Three

21st December 2008

We had brunch, by the beach again, and YES IT WAS VERY VERY SUNNY.

Point proven.

After brunch, Lavonne and Janice needed to poop so badly, so May Jean, Rita and I waited at the hotel's lobby. We were also waiting for the Innova that Justin and his friends rented so that we could borrow it for the day because we needed to drive down to Kuah Town.

May Jean and I.

Rita.

BORED. :/ Lavonne and Janice were taking such a long time to come back!

We had to get Janice and Rita's ferry and bus tickets back to KL. Janice and Rita had to leave in the morning the following day (our flight was at night) because Janice was going to Port Dickson with her family. She got a last minute call from her sister insisting that she come home as soon as possible. O_O So random.

There were so many shops at the jetty including a Starbucks outlet! :D May Jean and I bought Starbucks because it was damn hot and we really needed a drink. Plus, it was tax free! :D

We stopped by to snap pictures of this beautiful scenery on the way to Kuah Town. We also stopped because there was a cockroach in the car and everyone was screaming to get out of the car. Lol. My ears nearly stopped functioning and I was driving that time!

We went to Underwater World after that, which is near where we stayed (about 5 minutes walk).

Us. ;)

I'm not going to post pictures of the fishies because they all look pretty much the same except they vary in colours and sizes. But, the main attraction was the PENGUINS! :D

Damn cute! Like the ones in Happy Feet and Surf's Up! :D I have not watched both movies. :/

Patrick! Haha. (No, not really.)

The smiley stingray! So cute!

Haha, Rita so cute!

After Underwater World, we went back. Rita and May Jean decided to swim in the pool while Janice and Lavonne went for jet-ski at the beach. I chilled by the pool.

That night, Lavonne suggested that we all stay up since it was our last night. We were playing cards until Janice got a bit tipsy over half a bottle of Long Island. Then she felt like sleeping. We all woke her up countless of times trying to get her to stay awake. When she was finally awake, Rita dozed off. Not long after that, Janice fell asleep back. Lol, wth. Lavonne, May Jean and I talked until 3 a.m. :)

Happy New Year 2009!

Despite not attending any countdowns this year, I actually witnessed displayS of fireworks (note the "S") at seven different areas from my balcony. Pretty impressive! :D

Quite a number of people were surprised I was at home. :/ Sorry for turning your invitation down, Simon! But I really didn't wanna be "alone". Lol. :P

Fireworks!

I couldn't snap proper ones because it all happened so fast! There were even fireworks minutes before midnight! They have a different timing, I suppose. Hahaha. :)
Anyways, I would just like to wish everyone out there..

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

Keep this year a rockin' one aight! ;) Have an awesome year ahead!

xoxo.
